Here is a tutorial how to upload via FTP (file transfer protocol) program, i good one to use is filla zilla,

Step 1
Load filla zilla and enter the host name which is your domain name example hostingmasters.co.uk so not put
the www in next enter the user name and pass, this would have been issued to you by your hosting provider nest
the port is always 21 when you have done this press connect.

Step 2
When the it loads you will see may file and folders on the middle right hand screen this shows what files
you have on the domain scroll down until you find public_html double click to open this is where all file
should be uploaded to make a new folder right click and make new folder for example if you named it plans it
would show up as yourdomain.co.uk/plans

Step 3
To upload files its simple lets say a mp3 file find the mp3 file on your pc and drop it in to the bottom
screen u will see it there, next at the top of the menu select transfer and select transfer type select
binary, go back to the screen which lists the files on your domain and click on public_html then find the file
you made plans double click in that and this will open

Step 4
Go to the bottom box where you see your file and right click on it and select process que the file will be
uploaded to your domain in the directory you selected
