There may be cases when you need to import a database to your hosting account or just transfer it from a
different server. This tutorial will help you to import a database. The best way to do this is to use your
cPanel phpMyAdmin tool.

Simply follow the below steps to import a database:

1. Once you have .sql file of the DB, you will need to log into your cPanel at www.yourdomain.com/cpanel

2. Click on phpMyAdmin under the Databases menu

3. A drop down of your databases is displayed on the left side of the page, select the database you would
like to import to.

4. This will create some tabs at the top of the screen, click on Import.
5. This opens a text box and a file upload option.

6. Click Browse on the file upload option and look for your .sql file (database backup)
7. After you have selected the file click Go and it will import the database.
