Question Title: Your name ?
Answer: Michael Phelps
Question Title: Position within your hosting company ?
Answer: Chief Executive Officer
Question Title: What country are your offices based ?
Answer: We are based out of the US. Iowa to be exact.
Question Title: Do you offer a local, national or international hosting service ?
Answer: We offer services for people all over the globe. Our primary language is English, but we will strive to get
you what you need.
Question Title: What is the URL to your hosting services ?
Answer: http://www.psyberhost.net
Question Title: How long have you been offering hosting as a service ?
Answer: As a hosting service, we have only been in operation for a few short months. However, we have a combined 15
years in the hosting industry, offering hosting services to our design clients. Only recently did we decide to
branch out and offer more than just design.
Question Title: What type of hosting services do you provide ?
Answer: Is this a loaded question? PsyberHosting offers Linux-based hosting in both a shared and VPS environment. We
are preparing to launch a dedicated line soon, as well as a reseller line, and later down the road, we are
planning to support cloud hosting as well. Our road map is long, and rocky, but we've got a great pilot and
navigator at the helm.
Question Title: Is there a specific reason why you have chosen to provide those particular services ?
Answer: I've been a designer for about 9 years. And up until about 3 years ago, I was using outsourced hosting. I
noticed in all my "travels," if you will, that there were a ton of hosts out there, but not that many that
offered a well-rounded product line. They were all geared toward one thing or another. We decided, when we
were planning the operations side of PsyberHost, that we would do our best to become a one-stop-shop for all
hosting services.
Question Title: Do you plan to offer different hosting services in the future ?
Answer: As I said, we are coming out with a dedicated line soon, as well as a reseller line. Some of the things on our
road map include cloud hosting, backup hosting, and possibly even a small free hosting service, among other
things, but most of that stuff I need to keep under my hat until the time comes.
Question Title: Roughly how many domains do you host at present ?
Answer: Man, I couldn't tell you. As a design company we've done about.. 30-40 clients sites and host them on
PsyberHost, and we've brought in another.. 10-20 since our soft launch in March.
Question Title: What level of support do you offer for your clients? Email, ticket system, live support, telephone support, other.
?
Answer: Well, unfortunately that's the only area in which we fall short. Because we are a small start up, we don't
have a lot of overhead, and we want to keep it that way in order to keep prices down. Our support is available
24/7, but since it's only me and one other person right now, we can sometimes be slow to respond. As far as
our methods go, however, we offer both email and ticket (those are integrated) as well as a live support
system.
Question Title: How do you see the future for your hosting business ?
Answer: Only time will tell. I've seen hosting companies come and go, come and go. I think really it depends on the
market. We could be swimming in clients in the next couple of weeks, or we could lose everyone we have in a
matter of days. The way the economy is, it's hard to compete with the big boys sometimes, and the only thing
we have to rely on is our promises to deliver, which so far we have. If I had a crystal ball and could look
into it, I would probably say the future looks... uncertain.
Question Title: Who are your ideal hosted clients ?
Answer: We would prefer to cater to small businesses, blogs and the like, but of course anyone is welcome to sign up
and use our services. For you gamers out there, we are getting ready to support a couple of clan/guild
management systems, and may be offering those systems at an attractive price. That's not to say we are a
gaming host, far from it. We just want to be sure that everyone is satisfied when they come to us for hosting.
Question Title: What advice and tips would you recommend to help people find the perfect host for them ?
Answer: Ask questions. I can't tell people enough times that when they are shopping for a host, it's not the plan,
it's the service. Submit sales and support tickets, even if you aren't a member. Learn the ins and outs of the
company you are shopping. Learn their techs by first name, and how they respond, because ultimately, the techs
are going to be the go-to guys when it comes to fulfilling your needs.
Question Title: What do you think the future of hosting in general will bring ?
Answer: As storage becomes readily available, and prices of hardware go down, I wouldn't be surprised to see Terabyte
storage plans. I suppose we already have that in terms of cloud hosting, but what about non-redundant, non
cloud solutions that offer terabytes of storage with 100 terabytes of bandwidth? As prices go down across the
board, and technology rises across the board, I think the hosting industry will remain a viable commodity in
the world.
Question Title: Are there any further comments you would like to add ?
Answer: Be meticulous when chosing your host. Maybe PsyberHosting isn't right for you. But the thing is, you'll never
know unless you ask.
Question Title: As a host, what do you think of hosting reviews ?
Answer: Finally, a site that isn't plagued by referral links, or ranked based on commission rates. Keep it up!
Question Title: Would you recommend hosting-reviews.co.uk to other hosts ?
Answer: But, that would drive up the competition! lol.. Just kidding. I would absolutely recommend ANY host to use
this service.
Question Title: Can you suggest any improvements or features you would like to see added to hosting reviews ?
Answer: Video.. We need to be able to upload video :)

I just want to say that I've known Mike for a lot of years. He has been a dear friend to me, and When we started PsyberArts a few years
back, I knew he was going places. He's pretty much handed PsyberArts over to me now, and concentrating on the hosting end of his life. I can
honestly say I've experienced very little, if any, downtime on PsyberHost, and any requests I've had he is quick to get to. He's only human
after all, and sometimes things take a little longer than I would like, but in order to keep his prices down, he has to skim on alot of
things, including hiring extra support.
I will say up front, I'm affiliated with PsyberHost, only in the capacity I'm a
designer for them. This review might be biased in some ways, and in some ways not, but Other than designing for them, I don't work with the
hosting end of the company one way or another......
