1) What is the difference between UNIX hosting and Windows hosting

Answer 1)The difference between Windows and Linux is the operating system your web site works on. In a Linux server, it
will usually be Centos(Red Hat) and in a windows, it will be a product by Microsoft. While windows servers are
very good, most of the web runs on Linux.

hosting is for PHP and MySQL applications where as Windows hosting works with ASP and MS SQL.

What programming languages will you be using for your web?
.asp? php? .net? All have to be taken into consideration.

Second is Database - be it MySQL or Microsoft SQL. However the main important question which needed to be
considered is the programming languages. If your specialize in .asp, then take windows hosting, else unix.

recommended.

If you do not require any of the above or are only going to use PHP and MySql then a Linux/Unix hosting
solution would be recommended solution as it is the native platform and tend to be more reliable than Windows.
