Hosting FAQ’s - All questions answered below are answered by the hosts themselves

1) Do I have to change my domain if I get a new host

Answer 1)No. When you register your domain name it is registered in your name and you have the right to move from one
host to another. Moving from one host to another involves changing the DNS/nameservers at the domain
registrar.

Answer 7)Honestly it depends.
If you've purchased a domain from a webhost that ONLY allows the DNS to be pointed to their hosting - which
means bundled hosting & domain together, you have to get a new domain if you get a new host.

Else, usually when you've purchased a domain, you have this so-called "DNS Management" Where your able to
point to where the domain is pointing to. If you've purchased a new host, you can then point the domain to
that new host, thus you don't need to change the domain.

We do allow our clients to change DNS, thus we provide flexibility to our clients and not bound them to us.

Answer 9)If you want to transfer your domain to a new host, all you need is to request an EPP key (authorization key
for transfer) from your actual hosting provider and request domain transfer using this key with your new
hosting company. In case you paid for the domain name for some years ahead, don't worry, you won't loose your
payments. The experation date keeps valid with your transfer.

Answer 10)You do not normally need to change the domain used for your hosting. If you own the domain it can normally be
transferred to your new host or left at your old host and the nameservers updated to point towards your new
host.

Answer 11)Absolutely not. When you purchase a domain, that domain is yours. If you find yourself in the unfortunate
position of changing hosts, you can opt to either have your domain transferred to the new host, or you can
simply point the nameservers of the domain to your new host. Whoever you decide to move to will know exactly
what you need to point your domain to.

Answer 13)Certainly not, it is fairly straight forward to transfer your domain name between web hosts and registrars.
There are different rules to performing transfers depending on the type of domain name you have. It is best to
contact your new web host about this who will be able to advise on the easiest way to transfer you particular
domain name.

Answer 14)No, if you own a domain name, then, when you need to move to another host, you just need to point your
domain\'s nameservers to this new host. If you registered your domain name with a host and you now want to
move, you should find your registration records or contact this host and ask them how to control your domain
name. If you have a problem, you can usually see the name of the Registrar by performing a \"WHOIS\" query on
your domain name and contact them.
